FULL SIZED AUTOMATED BUS – E200
Fusion Processing has successfully fitted CAVstar automated drive systems to full sized Alexander Dennis E200 single decker buses. The first, to prove the concept, was for a live bus depot trial. Here the bus was directed to manoeuvre with millimetre precision through the bus wash or to take itself to the fuelling station via a tablet mounted in the cab.
An evolution of that system has seen the automation of five bespoke E200 buses which formed part of the CAVForth project.
The CAVstar system provides the situational awareness and steering, braking and throttle inputs to the ICE diesel powered E200 buses.
